Medical Gas Pipeline Systems (MGPS) and Anaesthetics Gas Scavenging Systems (AGSS) are an important part of the complex plants inside healthcare facilities.

The continuous availability of medical gases such as oxygen, medical air and other gases used in medical applications as well as vacuum is a necessary condition to ensure the continued, safe and effective treatment of patients, in particular within operating and critical care rooms.

The continuous operation of AGSS, in addition to ensuring patient safety, minimizes operators exposure to anaesthetic gases and vapors. Both systems are considered “medical devices” and therefore are covered by Directive 93/42/EEC as amended by 2007/47/EC.
